Simon Graham is a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Melbourne, studying ideas of catastrophe and unknowability in the context of the climate crisis. Their fiction and non-fiction has appeared widely and won awards from the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers Conference, the Association of Writers and Poets, and the University of Washington, where they received their MFA. They have worked as a researcher for leading climate organisations in Australia and America, and have taught university classes in activist writing, short fiction, climate change, and economics. They are working on a collection of stories and a novel.Â
